On 1B are you crazy? Lou Gehrig was 100 times better than Jim Bottomley, even if he only became a regular in 1925.
ReplyDeleteTrue but Gehrig didn't take off until '27, so that leaves him with just three dominant seasons. Bottomley was great (though not the elite player Gehrig was) from '23 through '29, so I think he's a better fit for the decade
